HOUSE AND GARDEN

The red library is formed in lacquer and a decorative veneer incorporating sliding panels for television and entrance. The fireplace is created in ceramic stone, glazed in a similar colour. The effect is all embracing, invigorating and supremely warm.

“They have an exceptional - and rigorous - sense of space and architectural principles, but they are incredibly agile and imaginative around incorporating your own tastes and desires. Their eye is intellectual, and you trust them in that. Of course the joinery is impeccable, a real signature of Waldo's quality. But so too is their ability to make something unpredictable seem very elevated. The bath in my bedroom, the mixing of turquoise and green, none of it should really work, and yet it does, and very joyfully too.”
