This home high above Hong Kong harbour was conceived around a central cedar clad staircase. The apartment opens and folds out from this timber box, revealing spaces of exquisitely detailed forms with their own elements of surprise and balance.
The apartment has a quiet repose, with a palette of steel blue, honeyed whites, and natural timbers that was enhanced by the milky, subtle changes in light from the expansive view of the sea and sky surrounding it.

Extensive attention was paid to the detailing of the timber in the apartment: a wrapped leather and bronze handrail notched carefully into the timber uprights, a copper mesh fronted dressing room glowing softly from behind, and the sliding panels that allow the kitchen to open to the extensive sea view.
